Grandma’s Chauffeur Service: Busy Fall

I haven’t posted much lately, and there’s a reason. My 14-year-old has been extra busy. He’s rehearsing for one show, auditioning a lot, taking day-time private lessons and classes, and being home-schooled for the first time. (We gave up on the local arts magnet junior high school because of the insane pressure they put on kids to excel in the standardized state tests, and the amount of homework assigned. For a school that was supposed to be all about creativity and artistic expression, it was way too regimented and focused on “teaching to the test”.)

But, even though I’ve been spending more time in my car than at my desk, I’m enjoying it.  My grandson is a delightful young man, if I do say so myself, and I enjoy the time we have to just talk while we drive hither and yon. And he’s reading Brian Sanderson’s Firefight out loud to me in the car, so it really is all good.

Here’s a clip from a Christian TV series he had a guest-starring role in recently — it’s short (less than 13 minutes), and he had fun working with the very talented kids in the series.  Kameron comes into the clip at about 8:54, and is on screen until the end.

I love my grandkids — all of them!

Kameron Badgers in Faith Hope Love

14-year-old grandson Kameron Badgers had a guest starring role in a TV series for Christian teens called Faith + Love + Hope. Check out the video on YouTube!

I am going to try to get back to posting at least once a week again. We’re still working out our fall schedule. So many wonderful things happening that it’s just been hard to keep up with them all!
